"I’ve decided to call this massive piece 'The Wine of Forever', a title borrowed from a Bukowski poem that has been resonating deeply in my heart.
In the poem, he describes art as a 'vast bridge that carries you over the many things that claw and tear.'
That is exactly what not only this painting is for me, but my art is for me too. It’s about taking the unpolished, messy reality of life and finding the electric light within it.
In my work, I’m always looking for the 'Neon Romance' —the way we can take the shadows and light them up until they become something beautiful.
This piece is a reminder that even in the messiest parts of our lives, there is a vibrant light that refuses to go out.
The 'wine' isn’t just a drink; it’s the intoxicating, permanent hope that comes from turning pain into beauty." - Bekah Bull
