"Days of Thunder" is less about identifying a single moment than about the sensation of speed itself. The dark racing car holds its shape while the surrounding world dissolves into streaks of color and light. The effect is almost musical: the landscape becomes rhythm, the road becomes motion, and the car appears to be moving faster than the eye can fully register.
