"Rising to 14,136 feet, this towering peak ranks as the 52nd-highest mountain on the continent. Set within the dramatic Maroon Bells–Snowmass Wilderness of Colorado’s White River National Forest, it stands just over 8 miles southeast of the small community of Redstone in Pitkin County.
Its rugged summit, part of the legendary 'fourteeners', has long drawn hikers, climbers, and artists alike. To stand beneath it is to feel something timeless and untamed. It was that feeling—raw, awe-struck, and deeply connected—that I wanted to capture in this new work.
As always, my goal is not just to render the landscape but to translate its spirit. The light, the shadow, the movement of the air around it—it all conspires to create the final look." - Simon Bull
