"Aspen groves are among the largest living organisms on earth. Though they appear young and delicate, many are thousands of years old. At this time of year, as their leaves turn and the first chill of winter approaches, they blaze into a glorious display of gold and fire.
It is this moment I sought to capture in my new diptych, “Welcome Home! I & II”. Expansive in scale, the work celebrates the open mountainsides clothed in brilliant color, interspersed with the tender rise of young blue spruce saplings.
For me, this painting is both a tribute to nature’s grandeur and an invitation to step into that sense of homecoming we feel when surrounded by beauty and renewal." - Simon Bull
